President & CEO

Akbar Hamid

Akbar Hamid brings 15+ Years of experience specializing in luxury brands, spirits, hospitality and entertainment working across New York, Los Angeles and Miami as well as key markets in Europe, Middle East and Asia

Akbar has executed major strategic campaigns in the spirits sector on brands such as Möet & Chandon, Grey Goose, Belvedere Vodka, Glenmorangie, Ardbeg, the Dalmore, Rémy Martin and more

In the Luxury Consumer Goods Sector, Akbar worked with Van Cleef & Arpels and Montblanc for a number for years and brought both clients to the 5th Column

Akbar Has executed large scale events and activations including Möet & Chandon at the Golden Globes, Bono’s (RED) Organization World AIDS Day Concert in Times Square, United Nations World Humanitarian Day Campaign Launch With David Guetta and more.

Vice President

Jaclyn York

As Vice President, Jaclyn maintains a decade of experience in luxury, spirits, and hospitality PR working across a variety of brands from food and beverage to travel and everything in between. Prior to joining the 5th Column, Ms. York served as Vice President of DKC’s lifestyle and hospitality divisions where she led the communications strategy for clients including Belvedere Vodka, 1 Hotels, Lotte New York Palace, Don Papa Rum, Courvoisier, and more. Jaclyn has experience working on brands such as Cointreau, Kim Crawford, StGermain, Martini sparkling wines & vermouth, and E . Guigal from her time at Nike Communications. Jaclyn has also worked on Champagne Nicholas Feuillatte, the William Grant & Sons portfolio and the Moet Hennessy Estates & Wines portfolio (Cloudy Bay, Chandon, Terrazas, Newtown, etc. ) during her time at the Magrino Agency.  Jaclyn graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and double majored in Psychology.  In 2014, Jaclyn was named by the New York Observer as one of “9 Names to Watch in PR.”

Kristin Kelly

Kristin joins us as Vice President with over 7 years of experience working across multiple luxury and lifestyle verticals including hospitality, travel, spirits, tech, and fashion.

Kristin previously served as PR Director at Day One Agency where she was an integral part of the comms team executing creative strategy and major activations for several Bacardi brand (Single Malts, Tequila Cazadores, Dewar’s Whisky), Instagram, Facebook, Oculus VR, and American Express SPG. Prior to Day One, she managed brands including 1 Hotels, W Hotels, Belvedere Vodka, and Jaguar Land Rover during her time at DKC.

Social Media Manager

Stephen Dalessandro

The Social Media Manager who is your creative outlet for all things trending in social media. With brand awareness in mind, accounts are brought to life through the production of creative content. Stephen assists clients with a wide range of concerns. This includes market research, the selection and build out of creative content, cohesiveness throughout the feed, and thorough engagement. Stephen has successfully run accounts in Beauty (@VBeaute), Hospitality (@BryantParkHotel), and in the Culinary field, working with celebrity gluten-free chef (@SimplyCaro). Graduating with a degree in Communications and Advertising from Rowan University, Stephen began a career in Public Relations naturally developing into Social Media management full-time.

Iman Hasan

Head of Influencer Marketing & New Business Development at 5th Column. As former VP of the Lifestyle & Events division for Kreps DeMaria, Iman has been working in the luxury fashion and lifestyle industry for over 12 years. Raised in London, she has since lived and worked in Dubai, Miami, New York and LA. Prior to joining Kreps DeMaria, Iman was a co-owner of RAC, a full service fashion and lifestyle firm which included clients such as Aquazzura, Neiman Marcus, Topshop, W Hotel South Beach, intermix, and Net-A-Porter. Having immersive experiences and knowledge based strategy, Iman delivers local, national, and international luxury clients to stargaze concepts, create events, curate targeted guest lists and possesses a global database of editors, influencers, and brands.
